Useful Information for a Good Life
The people that know me think I have strange ideas. And I do, if you compare them to what most of the people I know think about things. Now that I am 55 years old, I am OK with people thinking I am different. Those same friends have seen over the years that I have been moderately successful financially, have a wife who loves me, and children that are growing and making their way independently in the world.
I read a lot of books, and experiment with the ideas in those books. It leads to strange beliefs.
At this point in 2023 I own a small Bitcoin mining business, am developing a chestnut orchard, and experimenting with plant medicines. At the same time I am focused on healthy eating, healthy living, and working to live a good and happy life. Love to think about how to start and grow small businesses, and thrive in the chaos of wide open business opportunities where one can carve out their own path to success.
When my brother-in-law and I sold our business in 2015, I had some time to think about what I wanted to do with my life. At the time our four children were ages 9-15, and making sure they had the chance to grow up with opportunity and informed guidance were foremost in the minds of my wife and I. We have been married for almost 30 years now, and have many of the same goals for life and our children, although we approach them in different ways.
What I am really good at is finding uncommon knowledge, learning and thinking about it, then putting it to use while teaching others to do the same. Taking action on incomplete information is something I learned early while serving as an officer on a Navy submarine, and have been able to put it to good effect in business and life.
